Andre holds a BA in Economics from Universidad del Pacifico and is a second-year MPP Candidate. He has more than 5 years of experience in the Financial Regulatory Authority in Peru, where he pioneered the adoption of data analytics open-sourced tools to improve banking regulation pipelines. He is also the President of the Public Finance Association (PFA) and a CFA Charterholder member of the Chicago CFA Society.
Divyansha Sehgal is a second year MPP candidate at the Harris School of Public Policy. She is a writer and researcher primarily studying technology platforms and their politics. She has previously worked on issues of online gender based violence, digital freedom of speech, online privacy, platformized work, open source software among others
At Harris, she does a bunch of different things. In addition to trying to get engineers and policy makers to talk through DEP, she is also a Senior Editor with the Chicago Policy Review and Writing Fellow at the Harris Writing Center. She is also excited to be serving as an Orientation Leader for the new incoming class of wonks (reach out!) and is working to help set up the newly formed Cyber Policy Institute. She's always happy to talk at length about all things tech and policy!
Fuyuki Tani is a graduate student in University of Chicago’s Masters in Computational Analysis and Public Policy Program. He currently interns at Switchbox, a data-driven think tank working at the state-level climate policy, where he conducts research on the cost and carbon emissions of housing fuel. Prior to graduate school, he worked for the Bureau of Digital Services in Tokyo Metropolitan Government, primarily handling personnel-related tasks.
Mariam is a graduate student in the University of Chicago’s Masters in Public Policy program. She is an experienced data analyst who aspires to work at the intersection of people, technology, and information to increase digital literacy and civic engagement in underserved regions. Over the summer, she worked in a data management role at the Energy Policy Institute at UChicago, organizing data to study how the behaviors and decisions of builders and consumers influence the adoption of rooftop solar in American homes. She previously managed data and technology for a large scale remedial education program run across 1250 primary (K-5) schools in Pakistan.
Onur is a graduate student at the University of Chicago pursuing an MS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy. With expertise in data-driven policy evaluation and software development, he has worked on projects such as semiconductor investment analysis and program evaluations using advanced statistical methods. Onur has data consulting experience with AccessBridge, where he focused on integrating trade and investment data to inform policy decisions, as well as contributing to economic initiatives at the Turkish Presidency Finance Office. Passionate about interdisciplinary research, he combines his skills in economics, technology, and public policy to address complex challenges at the intersection of tech and policy.
Pramiti is a Master of Public Policy candidate at the University of Chicago. She is currently interning at the United Nations, where she is assisting with strategy and partnerships for Propeller, a newly launched internal management consultancy. Prior to graduate school, Pramiti worked at Amazon Web Services, conducting research and analysis on policy and legislative developments related to procurement and technology to craft and effectively deliver coordinated advocacy strategies to catalyze sustainable growth for the business in diverse areas. She also served as a Legislative Assistant in the Indian Parliament, where she used data-driven research to influence national issues such as digital inclusion and healthcare.
Xiaoyue Wei is a Master's candidate in Computational Analysis and Public Policy at the University of Chicago, awarded the Selected Professions Fellowship for outstanding academic excellence and leadership in STEM fields with low female representation. Her experience includes data analysis at the Institute for Governance Reform in Sierra Leone and research leadership at Pusan National University. Proficient in Python, R, and SQL, Xiaoyue applies her analytical skills to various projects. As an Executive Board Member of the Data, Ethics and Policy Conference, she supports project management and oversees the interactive lunch & learn session. Additionally, as a Student Orientation Leader, she guides new students' transition, focusing on leadership development and diversity.
